Authorities on Friday clashed with an armed terrorist group in Douma killing three terrorists and arresting few others.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Authorities on Friday clashed with an armed terrorist group in Douma killing three terrorists and arresting few others.

SANA reporter said that the authorities seized different kinds of arms, explosive devices, grenades and ammunition.

The armed terrorist group attacked the building of passport registration and migration service in Douma and set the first floor on fire before firefighters interfered and contained the fire.

Gunmen Turn Themselves in Damascus Countryside

A number of gunmen turned themselves in with their weapons in al-Rawda village in Damascus countryside, pledging not to get involved in any act that may harm the security and stability of the homeland.

Authorities Arrest Terrorists and Confiscate Weapons in Hama

The authorities in Hama governorate clashed with armed terrorist groups in al-Masafi and al-Zahiriye neighborhoods, killing a number of terrorists, arresting others and confiscating their weapons.

In al-Masafi and Jisr Srehin area, the authorities shot dead a number of terrorists and arrested others, confiscating their weapons which included grenade, assault rifles, pump-action shotguns and handguns, in addition to large amounts of ammo, communication devices, stolen and fake license plates, military uniforms and around 3,000 narcotic pills.

In al-Zahiriye area, the authorities arrested a large number of terrorists and uncovered a hideout concealed beneath the floor of a house, in which a large weapons cache was found. The weapons include 5 RPG launchers and rounds, Energa grenades, offensive and defeinsive grenades, assault rifles, PKC machineguns, a sniper rifles and night-vision scopes.

In Tel al-Dabagha neighborhood, a terrorist group detonated a number of explosive devices, causing considerable damages to homes and private properties.

97 Detainees Released from Custody

97 individuals who were involved in recent events and didn't take part in shedding Syrian blood were released from custody.

Security and Stability Restored to Town of Andan in Aleppo Countryside

Security and stability were restored to the town of Andan in Aleppo countryside which had been plagued by armed terrorist groups.

The authorities uncovered a workshop used by terrorists for manufacturing explosives, and confiscated equipment and medical supplies stolen by the terrorists.

The locals said that the terrorist had been preventing them from going about their daily lives, attacking public and private properties and planting explosive devices along roads.

Authorities Rescue Director of Manbej Recruitment Office

The authorities rescued Col. Zuhair al-Zuhairi, the director of Manbej Recruitment Office who had been abducted by an armed terrorist group which tortured him and threatened him in an attempt to force him to make a video confession of defecting.

Al-Zuhairi told the Syrian TV that he was attacked by an armed terrorist group while on the road of Manbej-Aleppo when he stopped to help some locals.

He said that five gunmen rushed his car and he shot at them, injuring one of them, but he was hit on the head and was taken into a house where they demanded that he declare his defection, threatening to kill him and later killing another abducted man in front of him.

Al-Zuhairi  said that afterwards, the terrorists demanded a ransom of SYP 5 million, telling him to talk his relatives into paying the ransom, adding that when they removed the blindfold they had placed on his head, he saw that he was surrounded by around 5o gunmen.

Al-Zuhairi was finally rescued from his captors on Friday morning by the authorities.

Terrorists Murder Citizen in Daraa

In the town of Sahm al-Golan in Daraa, terrorists broke into the house of Ibrahim al-Taani and murdered him in front of his wife and children, stealing some money he had in the house.

Al-Taani had been threatened more than once by terrorists in the past. The terrorist burned his car, his store and cut down 55 olive trees he owned in November 2011.

Weapons, Ammo, Military Uniforms and Materials for Making Bombs Confiscated in Daraya

The authorities raided the hideout of an armed terrorist group in Daraya area in Damascus countryside.

The raid resulted in the confiscation of materials used for making bombs, communication devices, computers, military uniforms and large sums of money.

A number of terrorists were killed during the raid, and the rest were arrested by the authorities and their weapons and ammo were confiscated.
