(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An Iranian Grand Shi'a cleric said the incidents occuring in Iraq and Pakistan are the price Shia are paying for their support of their belief in monotheism, Islam and Qur’an.
Grand Ayatollah Rouhollah Safi Golpaygani, Iranian senior cleric and professor at Qom Seminary called the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan, the price Shia is paying for its belief in jurisprudence, supporting the right, Islam, monotheism and Qur’an.
He referred to the innocence of Shia Imams (AS) particularly Hazrat Zahra (AS), daughter of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and reiterated, “Shia have always been oppressed resisting against troubles to express their all-out support and loyalty.”
This religious figure said, “Followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), have protected their loyalty throughout the suffocating rulers” and added, “At present, the Shia around the world, are maintaining the same path.”
On the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (AS), Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani referred to the stances of Hazrat Zahra (AS) following the demise of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and said, “Had it not been for the clear stances of Hazrat Zahra (AS), amid the then suffocating system, Islam could have been completely uprooted.”
He referred to the remarkable sermon of Hazrat Zahra (AS) and called that a rejection of the then situation following the demise of prophet of Islam (PBUH) and announcement of the righteousness of Imam Ali (AS), first Shia Imam and cousin of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
“Amid the crisis that plagued the Muslim community after the demise of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), nobody dared to challenge the then system and unveil the oppressions against her husband.” said the Shia cleric praising the famous sermon of Hazrat Zahra (AS) which revealed the true nature of the oppressive rulers of the time.
