(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Head of Al-Azhar University, Ahmad Tayyeb called on all Muslims to support Palestinian rights against the regime of Zionism.

“It is incumbent upon each Muslim to back up Palestine and try for the liberation of Qods,” the head of Al-Azhar University, Ahmad Tayyeb said.  

Speaking in a visit with Palestinian Minister of Endowments, The grand Al-Azhar mufti underscored that defending Palestinian rights is a duty determined and underlined in the divine religion of Islam and even Christianity.

The Islamic scholar took the silence of Arabian countries, regarding Qods issue, on the chin and urged all Arab scholars to move against the crimes committed by Israeli regime.

“The crisis of Palestine and its people’s right should not be fallen on deaf ears and all Muslims should do their best to support the resistance of Palestine,” he said.

In other part of his speech, Tayyeb pointed to the crisis in Somalia and said,” people of this land suffered by civil war and all the countries especially Islamic ones should do something for Somali people.

He demanded all Somali groups to terminate civil war in this country and turn back to the time of peace and stability.
