(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - At least 7 Shia Muslims were injured due to firing of terrorists and 60 were detained during police crackdown against Shiite Muslims in Khairpur district of Pakistan.

Report had it that terrorists belonging to banned outfit Sipah-e-Sahaba fired upon Shia Muslims leaving 7 of them injured.

Biased and partial police too launched a crackdown on Shia Muslims in what appeared to embolden and encourage the banned terrorist outfit.

Police had conducted raids on many houses of Shia Muslims and took into custody at least 50 of them. However, police had not informed Shia Muslims nor they showed any search warrant.

Police have produced many Shia Muslims in anti-terrorism court on Saturday. Some of them were identified as: Hyder Shah, Mehdi Shah, Shabir Zaidi, Muhammad Hassan, Shahryar, Rizwan Shah, Fazal Shah, Gulzar Shah, Madah Hussain Shah, Atta Hussain Shah, Deedar Hussain Shah, Javed Mughal.

It is relevant to add here that terrorists had set many shops of Shia Muslims on fire and attacked Shia Muslims houses and shops.

Police said on Saturday that normalcy returned to Khairpur city. They asked shopkeepers keep open their businesses. Source: Shiite News
