(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, head of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought met with a group of visiting elites and journalists from Egypt congratulating on the victory of the revolution in this country and called Egypt as the mother of Middle Eastern countries.
He said, “Arrogant powers found the greatness and influence of Egypt on the regional countries though they mistakenly underestimated this great revolution in Egypt with the hope that Egyptian nation would forget the crimes of the Mubarak regime.”
Iranian religious figure hailed Egypt as the mother land for all countries and said, “In fact Egypt is the mother land for all countries and this is the land through which Napoleon planned to conquer the Middle East.”
A cultural advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution expressed hope that the objectives of the Egyptian Revolution realize and said, “The biggest threat against Egyptian Revolution is that the revolutionaries forget the aims of the great movement.”
A second threat to this revolution, according to the Iranian figure, is extremism.
“Extremism would ruin anything“ said the cleric and warning against extremism even in praying and learning.
He highlighted Egyptian Revolution to stay away from extremism and change-oriented movement using the experiences of Iranian and other Islamic nations.
He stressed the support of the Iranian nation for Egypt’s revolution and said the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei completely understands the problems of the Egyptian nation and follows the popular movement due to the leader’s attention for the land of Ahlul Bayt (AS), land of Imam Hussein (AS), Seyyeda Nafisa and Hazrat Zeinab (AS).
He also defined Islamic Revolution of Iran as a movement that brought fundamental changes and not merely reforms and rejected western and Zionist accusations based on a Shia or Persian nature for the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
A main Islamic body in proximity of Islamic denominations, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has had several meetings and conferences with Muslim figures from around the world giving am increasing turn to meeting prominent Egyptian figures after the popular revolution in this country.
