Iran arrests agents involved in scientists' assassinations |
(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Speaking to reporters, Moslehi said that Iran has recently made some important arrests including apprehension of perpetrators behind attacks against nuclear scientists.
Over the past years, a number of academics and scientists related to Iran's nuclear program were assassinated. Iran says that Zionist regime and the US are behind killing of its nuclear scientists.
The latest attack was assassination of Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan, a graduate of Sharif University of Technology in chemical engineering and an official at the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility, who was assassinated in Tehran on January 11.
On July 23, 2011, Dariush Rezaiinejad, a university professor, was killed in a terrorist attack in Tehran.
On November 29, 2010, two prominent physicists were targeted by terrorists in two separate bombings. Professor Majid Shahriari was killed and Professor Fereydoun Abbasi, who is the current Director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), was injured in the attacks.
On January 12, 2010, another Iranian physicist Massoud Ali-Mohammadi was assassinated in a bomb attack.
