(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A Grand Iranian Shia cleric denounced Saudi Arabia’s seizure of Bahrain saying that the country belongs to the people and not to the (Persian) Gulf States.
Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, Iranian jurisprudent and professor at Qom Seminary criticized the Saudi plan to seize Bahrain calling that childish and illogical.
He said, “It is not the time for arrogant powers to divide world countries because today it is the nations that decide about their future.”
He referred to Al-Khalifa coming to a deadlock against Bahraini nation, finding the Saudi plan a way out of the crisis.
Iranian cleric demanded Muslim scholars in Bahrain and other Islamic countries to express their opposition with the childish and illogical plan, taking the case to international arena.
Ayatollah Noori Hamedani called the remarks of a US army official regarding demolition of Mecca and Medina as a vain illusion and said, “Such remarks are proof on their deep hatred of Islam and Qur’an which will never realize.”
He called for guidance of movements in line with Islamic Awakening to be led by scholars and religious figures and said, “Figures like Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah have to stand up to lead the moves and protect the moves from being hijacked or permutation.”
He also referred to the invitation of Egyptian revolutionaries to travel to this country and enthusiasm of the people in his previous destinations of Tanzania, Kenya and Moscow for Islamic Republic of Iran and its system.
