(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Astana is hosting the fifth Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers on May 17-18 under the aegis of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Altai Abibullayev said.
"The conference will be attended by over 200 people from 57 Islamic countries and 25 international organizations," he said at a briefing in Astana.
The conference will become a platform for a dialogue between the Islamic states, which will help resolve global environmental issues. Also on the agenda is the initiative of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev - a global energy and ecological strategy and the Green Bridge partnership program," Abibullayev said.
