(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Shia publication institutes are slated to take part at the biggest biennial international book fair in Brazil planned to open on August 9 in Sao Paulo.
The exhibition is considered the largest book fair in Latin America and the third in the world.
Around 350 local and international publications institutes will present their works at the event.
The 10-day exhibition is expected to host some 800,000 visitors. The first four days of the event will be allocated to scientific and cultural figures and it will be open to the public for the other six days.
Over 40 forums are planned to be held at the book fair with the participation of authors and publishers.
Representative of Brazils Islamic Center will attend one of the forums to answer questions about Islam.
The Islamic Center has invited cultural and publication institutes of Islamic countries to present their works at the book fair. So far 8 institutes have sent their works to be presented at the international event.
The Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly based in the holy city of Qom has been the most cooperative in preparing and sending books to the exhibition.
The previous edition of the book fair was held in 2010 showcasing the works of 8 Shia institutes such as Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Center for Dissemination of Islamic Teachings in the World, Imam Ali (AS) Institute and Al-ul-Bayt (AS) Institute.
This 2012 edition will conclude on August 19.
