(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, senior Shia jurisprudent and professor at Qom Seminary vowed that the present economic pressures would not last long and that Iran has always successfully overcome such crises.
This religious figure stressed the role of government, provincial governors and business institutions for a solution out of the situation, demanding the people to practice a healthy life.
He quoted infallible Imams (AS) that perfection realizes in three steps: Learning the alphabets of morality, religion and sharia, resisting against the problems and following an economic lifestyle.
Shia cleric also referred to the severe economic problems in the US and European countries and recommended simpler methods for life.
As a recommendation for the younger generation, Ayatollah Makarem criticized affluent wedding ceremonies and hailed simple ceremonies, bringing the wedding of Hazrat Zahra (AS), daughter of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as one historical example.
“If the simple lifestyle, taught by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), realizes among the people, the economic pressure would be much less,” he said.
