(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - "Several challenges have faced the forces during al-Ziyara al-Shaabaniya, during which 42 wanted men were arrested, eight bombs were defused and a weapons cache, containing 15 missiles were seized," Colonel Diaa al-Wakeel said at a press conference in Karbala.
More than six million Shiite visitors flocked to Karbala this week to celebrate the al-Ziyara al-Shaabaniya, literally the mid-Shaaban visit, to revive the memory of the birth of the Messiah-like Imam al-Mahdi, the 12th holiest figure for Shiites Muslims.
