(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Police in Irkutsk are searching for the vandals who painted a swastika on the city synagogue and on the fence surrounding the local mosque, the regional police department has reported.

The incident was reported on Friday morning.

"The young vandals were recorded by video cameras in the act of vandalism. The videos are being examined," the police department said.

The chief rabbi of the Irkutsk region, Aaron Vagner, said the offenders will hopefully be tracked down soon.
