(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Israeli embassy in Dublin was evacuated on Tuesday after a suspicious device was found on the premises, Hebrew media reported, later adding that the incident represented a false alarm.

The evacuation came amid heightened tension in Israeli embassies worldwide, following past attempts to target Israeli interests, Haaretz newspaper said.

According to Israel's radio, the Irish army's bomb-disposal team arrived at the building to investigate the suspicious device.

The incident has since been confirmed as a false alarm and the team left the scene, the broadcast said.
